The Poetics of Data: A Conversation with Refik Anadol
Monday, October 29
7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
UNC Charlotte Center City (320 E. 9th St., Charlotte)
Refik Anadol is a digital media artist from Istanbul, Turkey and resides in Los Angeles. He is the visionary behind “Interconnected,” a new public art project at Charlotte Douglas International Airport that converts three massive LED screens into an ever-changing digital artwork modeled on real-time airport operations data ranging from flight times and shuttle bus circulation to departures and arrivals. This talk will provide unique access to Anadol’s cutting-edge artistic practice at an exciting moment in his ascendant career. The event is free and open to the public.
