This week’s events have shaken the Charlotte community to its core. The cultural community hurts with all of the Queen City’s residents.
We believe arts and culture play a critical role in bringing community together to allow important and sometimes difficult conversations to take place. Those conversations and experiences help bring understanding and bridge differences among all people.
Our stages, museums, festivals and other cultural and community venues will continue to serve as places where the arts, science and history help us discover shared truths that build trust.
We remain hopeful that our city will come together to heal. We know it’s the cultural community’s responsibility to provide the opportunities and experiences necessary for that healing to happen.
