An Arts & Science Council (ASC) call for local and regional artists has been extended.

Up to five artists will be paired with Charlotte neighborhoods to create a unique piece of public art in the Neighborhoods in Creative pARTnership program, a community based public art initiative by the City of Charlotte and ASC.

ASC is excited to present this great opportunity for local and regional artists. Each project that is awarded will have a budget of up to $23,600.  More than 20 Charlotte neighborhoods applied to be considered for the program in November.

Artists working in all mediums and residing in Charlotte and surrounding counties may submit qualifications to be considered for these projects.

The deadline for artists to apply is now 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Applications will be received via CaFÉ™ (http://www.callforentry.org/).
