Position Summary

Under occasional supervision, provides sales and service to patrons and resident companies and handles complaints regarding ticket sales. Performs related duties as required.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess customer’s needs at venue box offices and during out-bound customer calls to achieve satisfaction
  • Answer incoming customer inquiries utilizing 8×8 customer contact software to deliver clear and informative communication related to events, ticket packages, special offers, seating options/prices and other Blumenthal policies
  • Service customer communication through 8×8 customer contact software via emails, online chat and phone calls for multiple phone groups
  • Provide quick, efficient and accurate sale of single tickets, ticket packages and other related items through AudienceView (AV) computerized ticketing system
  • Enter data accurately into AudienceView (AV) customer record and other data management systems; confirm accuracy of existing data as directed during customer transactions
  • Incorporate cross-selling and upselling to enhance guest experiences and deliver best value
  • Listen closely and apply sound judgement to identify and quickly resolve problems for customers within the guidelines established by Blumenthal; escalate unresolved problems as policies directed
  • Handle all information, including sensitive financial data, and cash, exactly as directed by Ticketing department policies
  • Provide documentation of daily assignments and customer input/responses as directed
  • Assist in data generation and creation of reports as directed; review and check records and reports
  • Assist in printing, packaging and distribution of tickets and other materials to customers as directed
  • Receive and review various records and reports including checks, credit card payments, ticket histories, series forms, etc., using AudienceView (AV)
  • Operate a variety of equipment such as centralized ticketing system, automated customer contact system and MS Office
  • Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, patrons and the general public


Job Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one or two years of general business or customer service experience, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Two-year degree is helpful, but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office preferred
