Professional Development

ASC manages a coordinated set of workshops and training opportunities designed to develop and sustain a community of healthy cultural organizations and creative individuals that fully reflects the Charlotte region’s diversity.

Organization-focused programs concentrate on leadership development for staff and board members as well as marketing/audience development, resource development and other administrative and operational issues related to overall sustainability (i.e. risk management, financial planning).

Programs designed for creative individuals emphasize the business skills required to establish self-sustaining careers in the arts, including funding and promoting artistic work.

Workshops and other training opportunities target the professional staff of organizations, board members and creative individuals at all stages of development – from emerging to mid-level to established practitioners.
