Arts & Science Council Announces Funding To
The Arts & Science Council (ASC) announced today a total investment of $50,000, approved by ASC’s board of directors, to 20 visual artists and filmmakers through the Regional Artist Project Grant (RAPG) program.
The program provides project support for artistic development and is open to both emerging and established artists. Visual artists and filmmakers were eligible to apply for the 2008-2009 grant cycle. Performing and literary artists will be eligible to apply next year.
The program is administered by ASC in partnership with arts councils in Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly and York (SC) counties. Funding for the grant program comes from The North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency, the Blumenthal Endowment, the participating arts councils and ASC’s Annual Fund Drive.
