Arts & Science Council Brings Back the "Cultural Free for All"

The Arts & Science Council (ASC) presents the second annual “Cultural Free for All,” a celebration of Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s cultural community.  Area residents and visitors have the opportunity to participate in a variety of free arts, science, history and heritage events during the month of September.  Event details are located on CharlotteCultureGuide.com – a project of ASC.

Events and programs include:

• Gospel Shout! presented by Levine Museum of the New South
• An Evening of Poetry and Music with John Amen, presented by Carolina Actors Studio Theater
• Free Tours at Historic Rosedale Plantation
• Third Thursday: Live Jazz at Mint Museum of Craft + Design
• Open Studio Saturday at McColl Center for Visual Art
• A limited number of tickets to Shear Madness by N.C. Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
• Festival in the Park, Blues, Brews & BBQ, Concert on the Green and much more.

“We encourage residents and visitors to participate in the Cultural Free for All,” said ASC President Scott Provancher.  “It’s a great opportunity to sample the diverse arts and cultural activities for children, youth and adults right here in our community.”
