Arts & Science Council Hires New Senior Accountant
The Arts & Science Council (ASC) has hired Venita Jamerson as senior accountant.
Jamerson will be responsible for the performance of various accounting processes, creation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and information technology.
Jamerson joins ASC most recently from the U.S. Census Bureau where she was a regional technician. During her two years with the bureau, she provided technical and administrative support for recruitment personnel, payroll and office and evaluation operations. She earned three performance awards for her work.
Prior to working for the Census Bureau, Jamerson worked for the Cleveland County Arts Council as a coordinator, the Cleveland County YMCA as a program coordinator, the Black Coaches Association as director of marketing, events, and programs and the University of Minnesota as a promotions assistant.
Jamerson, a native of Kings Mountain, N.C., earned a B.B.A in marketing from Howard University and a M.B.A. from Gardner Webb University.
