Volunteer

Volunteers play a critical role in the ongoing operations of our cultural community. According to Arts & Economic Prosperity III, an economic impact study conducted by Americans for the Arts, over 15,000 volunteers donate more than 590,000 hours to Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s nonprofit arts and culture organizations each year. This represents a donation of time with an estimated value of $10,628,086 (Independent Sector estimates the value of the average 2005 volunteer hour to be $18.04).
